We are Kelsey and Juan, the husband and wife team behind Lion and the Rooster, a photography studio based in the San Gabriel Valley. Our work quietly documents family life and the fleeting seasons of childhood.

Alongside private commissions, our work has included assignments for Gymboree, Google, AMC, Calvin Klein, and Teen Vogue. Outside of commercial work we've had the joy of documenting countless families and friends.

When we're not on a shoot, we're often exploring Southern California with our cameras. Much of our inspiration comes from spending time with our own family on local road trips.
